Why I'm Running

The people of Virginia's 6th District deserve more. I want to do more to fight for our environment. I want to do more to fight for private property rights and end the abuse of eminent domain. I want to do more to fight for access to affordable healthcare, for reproductive rights, to fight for racial justice and fight for the rights of immigrants and Dreamers. I want to do more to end the current “pay to play” system. I am running to do more.

Meet Jennifer

Jennifer Lewis is a mental health worker, community advocate, and a leader in the fight against the Atlantic Coast Pipeline. She has been a civically active member of her community in Augusta County, volunteering for various local groups, serving on boards and commissions, and fighting on the front lines for justice, equality and fairness for all. Jennifer is running to represent the 6th District in Washington because she sees hardworking families in western Virginia who aren't getting a fair deal. The economy is rigged in favor of the billionaires and monopolies. Jennifer has the courage to stand up for what's right against powerful special interests.

Jennifer is running to stand with our immigrant friends, our family in the LGBTQ community, our disabled loved ones and our neighbors fighting for the right to control what happens on their land. We are the wealthiest nation in the world, and there is enough prosperity for us all to enjoy a good standard of living. We need to ensure our government and economy works for everyone. Jennifer has a long record of community service, and the courage to stand up for the people of the 6th District.

This is a grassroots campaign and I am asking for your help. Together we can build an America that is just, fair and equitable. Let's get to work!
